Abstract:Loop antenna is a kind of typical truss structure characterized by large scale, flexibility, weak damping and low modal frequencies. The vibration response of loop antenna is large when it is disturbed in outer space. A new active control way is put forward in which a voice coil motor is used as the actuator and connected to the antenna structure through kevlar fiber, and the active vibration control system is established based on the characteristic of loop antenna and the dynamic equation of voice coil motor. The vibration control performance of the first two modals is studied with the different control algorithms. The results show that the new control way of voice coil motor-kevlar fiber actuator can effectively suppress the first two modal vibration responses of loop antenna and the effect of fuzzy control is better than proportional-derivative (PD) control. The control performance near equilibrium position is effectively improved by use of PD-fuzzy hybrid control algorithm.
