Abstract:In order to meet the requirement that the light, thin and small product is conveyed in modern industrial, a new type vibratory feeder driven by doughnut shaped piezoelectric bimorph is proposed. The structure model of the vibratory feeder is designed, of which the working principle is analyzed, and the performance of the piezoelectric bimorph vibrator is tested. The finite element analysis software ANSYS is used to determine the work mode of the piezoelectric bimorph vibrator. Furthermore, a prototype of the vibratory feeder is produced and its performance is tested. The experimental results show that the feeder is capable of conveying part when the vibration frequency is 86.5~91.5Hz and it can get the best feeding rate at the resonant frequency. The feeding rate increases linearly with the increase of voltage. Comparing with the electromagnetic vibratory feeder, the current consumption of such new type vibratory feeder is only 16%, its noise is reduced by 22dB and it enjoys more stable feeding.
