Problems and difficulties of testing armored vehicle power train were discussed in this paper. A computing model of the flywheel, the conne ction of the engine and the transmission of a amored vehicle, was established by using the finiteelement method, which met the requirement of load spectrum of power outputtorgue under different running conditions. An outputtorgue test ing method was put forward using the structure of the flywheel, and a device of measuring outputtorque in a restricted space based on the shortrange wireles s telemeter technology was developed. The power outputtorque signals were acq uired under several working conditions and were analyzed by a software of armore d vehicle load spectrum developed for this study, which resulted in some valuable load spectrum data.
