This paper put forward a method which is based on wavelet denoising technology and Hilbert Huang transform (HHT) to improve the accuracy of modal parameters identification. Firstly, wavelet denoising technology was used tosuppress the noise and reduce the noise influence on empirical mode decomposition (EMD). Therefore, the calculation capacity and decomposition layers of signals in the course of EMD can be reduced. Secondly, freedom response of single mode was ext racted after using the EMD method to decompose the denoised signal. Finally, the natural frequencies and damping ratio were identified after finishing the freedom response′s Hilbert transform. The results of an actual measurement indicate that the accuracy of theidentified natural frequencies and damping ratio by the proposed method are closer to the true results.
