Abstract:In order to employ the wireless sensor networks (WSN) in the mechanical vibration monitoring, a multisinkbased topological structure of WSN was pro posed, which can reduce the transport load of data sink, achieve higher data tra nsport rate and lower energy consumption. With the help of the Micaz motes, the WSN transport protocols and assistant mechanism were designed and implemented. An experiment device for WSN in the mechanical vibration monitoring was built. Experimental result shows that the WSN with multisink topology has a better pe rformance for the mechanical vibration monitoring, and with the multisink netw orks, 1 kHz sampling frequency can be achieved, which can satisfy the mechanical vibration monitoring.
