Abstract:The phenomenon of ice shedding from a single conductor between isolated span in laboratory is simulated, and the characters of tensile force in ice shedding conductor under several working conditions are researched by changing the thickness of iced conductor, the ratio of conductor sag and span, the quantity and location of shedding ice. The research shows that, with the increase of ice thickness, the decrease of the ratio of sag and span, or the increase of the shedding ice quantity, the amplitude of the response would increases; comparing with the conductor static tension when no ice is shedding, the dynamic tension is bigger when part of ice is shedding from conductor, and this phenomenon would become obviously when the location of shedding ice near the end of conductor.
