Abstract:As a special human-computer interaction method, the brain-computer interface (BCI) provides a new way to control electrical and mechanical equipment, and has become a research hotspot in the field of intelligent robots. With the improvements in bio-sensing and signal processing and the technical breakthrough of the brain-computer interface, it is gradually varying from original brain-computer interface to brain-electromechanical equipment interface today, and a new control technology is formed—brain control. This paper first discusses the development of the brain computer interface, then proposes the concept of brain-control and the key technologies involved. It also discusses existing research on brain-control prosthetics and its wheelchair, and points out the brain-control technology applied in an exoskeleton robot. Lastly, the development of this new technology is summarized and prospected.
