Abstract:An aluminum conductor composite core (ACCC) is used for the Beiwei for Transmission Line, by using the finite element software ANSYS to establish a three towers, four wires finite element model and using Matlab to simulate the Kaimal wind spectrum along the height change. The fluctuating wind speed time curve of the transmission towers and grounded line can then be obtained. Due to the light weight, strength and sag characteristics of the ACCC, the displacement variation over time of the ACCC conductor can be calculated for the former ordinary ACSR and the tower line system after transformation. The displacement and stress are calculated when the span and tower height change in the ACCC tower line system. The comparison with the actual tower line system illustrates that the ACCC conductors for transmission lines are superior and the transformation model is reasonable, thus saving project costs and providing a reference for future design.
