Abstract:Vehicle-induced environment vibrations are generatedwhen the vehicle is moving on an uneven surface and various factors consequently pass from the pavement structure and soil structures to the vehicle′s structural foundation and upper structure. The purpose of analyzing the impact of vehicle vibration on the environment is to get the vibration response where the structure is located under vehicle excitation. Firstly, a vehicle vibration differential equation that considers road roughness is solved by MATLAB. Secondly, a vibration calculated model of vehicle and the ground can be built using the Winkler elastic foundation beam model to simulate the soil of the road. Finally, with the dynamic mechanical vibration attenuation formula spread along the ground, the calculation formula of structure foundation acceleration caused by vehicles is proposed, and the calculation method of vehicle-induced ground vibration attenuation is built. It is validated with experimental data, and its application is illustrated with a numerical example. This method has clear physical meanings and principles that aresimple, practical, reasonableand convenient. It can be solved when basic information about the vehicle and road is inputted into MATLAB.
