Abstract:To analyze the typical rolling bearing fault of a railway freight car, the typi-kurtogram method is put forth according to the principle of max kurtosis and the accurate real-time demand in engineering practice. This method is used to automatically select the central frequency and bandwidth of the band-pass filter, thus bringing forth demodulated resonance based on typi-kurtogram. With the rolling bearing experimental platform of a freight car, experiments are carried out on roller bearings with different natural fault categories, and the proposed method is used to analyze the measured vibration signals. The results demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
