Abstract:Non-resonant motors use piezoelectric stack as main driving element. To compare with the traditional resonant motors, the non-resonant type has not only the advantages of simple structure, accurate positioning, and also solves the problem that resonant type is not stable and is easily affected by external factors. As piezoelectric stack needs particular anti-shear mechanism, three different kinds of anti-shear mechanism are analyzed based on the working principle of non-resonant piezoelectric linear motor. The influences of anti-shear mechanism on the characteristics of non-resonant piezoelectric linear motor is researched to summarize the advantages and disadvantages. Then the best mechanism structure is obtained from the simulation tests and structure optimization is done. Furthermore, the best option is used to manufactured prototype. Finally, the experiment tests validate the working principle of the motor and the validity of theoretical analyses . When the rectangle-triangle wave signal with a frequency of 100Hz and a voltage of 100V is applied on the novel motor, the velocity of one direction is 209.1μm/s when the velocity of another direction is 210.3 μm/s.
