Abstract:In allusion to the limitations of the existing useful life prediction theory for rubber isolators, the rubber isolators are classified into two types: the deformable structural morphology and the undeformable one during the whole useful life. For the former type, its main characteristics, failure mechanism and the selection principle for life characteristic parameters are summarized. Its force-controlled temperature-accelerated degradation test is designed and its data analysis method is also presented. The method to predict the useful life of rubber isolator based on the accelerated tests is introduced, the degradation path model of the life characteristic parameters and the temperature stress acceleration model are determinated. The calculated results of the useful life under normal temperature are consistent with the actual lifetime. The calculation method provides guidance for the useful life prediction of deformable rubber isolators with lifetime structural morphology.
